In Mongolia, an official organization for the regulation of activities in the field of marketing of petroleum products was first established on June 30, 1941 under the name "Oil Supply Department".

The history of this field dates back to the time when the roar of the first engine thundered in our country for the first time and as a result of the efforts and fruits of the labor of thousands and thousands of specialists and workers of several generations of the oil field, the NIC company has been a leader in the development of the field for more than 80 years.

Until 2003, NIC Joint-Stock Company acted as an economic unit of state ownership, and in 2004 the State Property Committee twice announced a Bidding for the privatization of NIC JSC. In the second Bidding, 4 national and international companies competed, and the winner was Petrovis, which acquired the NIC company through privatization and managed to become the leading national company in the oil field with the largest network covering the whole country, with its 19 branches for the supply of petroleum products and more than 400 gasoline filling stations, employing more than 2,000 specialists and workers. Prior to privatization, the NIC LLC provided 18% of the national oil products market, while the PETROVIS LLC provided 22% of the market.

Petrovis LLC since the acquisition of NIC LLC has built anew or relocated up to 205 gasoline filling stations and carried out a comprehensive renovation at more than 300 gasoline filling stations. We have also built 6 integrated oil depots, have upgraded a fleet of 334 oil tankers, put into operation a fully automatic oil depot "New Tolgoit", the first in Mongolia, have implemented a set of 3 types of ISO standards, as a result of  the investments more than MNT 300 billion.

NIC LLC is currently engaged in the wholesale distribution of petroleum products of Petrovis Group in Ulaanbaatar and other places and continuously supplies high-quality, certified petroleum products to the largest companies in the mining, communications, agricultural and industrial sectors of the country.

C24 Convenience shop

Car wash

In order to discover enough oil resources in Mongolia and make the country independent in terms of energy and oil, Petrovis Group founded on December 31, 2004 the Petromatad LLC, which shall be engaged in oil exploration and production activities.

Petromatad LLC managed to become the first company with a predominantly Mongolian ownership, whose shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange.

To date, at the oil fields of Matad-XX, Bogd-IV and Ongi-V, under the PSA contract (Production Sharing Agreement), geological exploration is being carried out, 2- and 3-dimensional seismic surveys are being carried out, 4 exploration wells have been drilled.

In 2019, the Tsentogoruu-1 well was drilled in the northern section of the Matad XX oil field, as a result of geophysical studies of the well, a possible interval of 77 meters in thickness, where oil is accumulated, was established.

The well was tested at two levels and the second test produced 821 barrels of oil per day at maximum flow rate.

As a result of geological exploration, oil was discovered in the Tsentogoruu well of the Matad XX oil field.  On December 25, 2020, according to the conclusion of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the proven reserves of the deposit were registered in the unified reserve fund of Mongolia. In addition, a memorable event in the history of Mongolia was the issuance of a license for oil production on a 218 km2 block located on the territory of Matad Sum in Dornod province.

Petrotruck LLC was established in 2013 with a 100% investment by Petrovis Group. It is the official distributor of BEIBEN TRUCK, China, and is engaged in trade in heavy trucks and spare parts and tires for them, stationary and mobile repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and freight transport.

Trade in heavy vehicles:

We supply special heavy-duty vehicles of the BEIBEN TRUCK, FAW, DONGFENG and SHACMAN brands on orders from NIC LLC, other enterprises and individuals.

Tire trade:

The central warehouse of tires of the Chinese brand Triangle in Mongolia is located in our branch in Ulaanbaatar and carries out wholesale and retail sales.

In previous years, our company supplied tires for heavy-duty and mining equipment to large mining companies, including Erdenet Uildver LLC, Monrostsvetmet LLC and Shivee Ovoo LLC.

Freight transport activities:

We are responsible for up to 60% of the total cargo transportation of NIC LLC by our own and contracted company tank trucks. In particular, we transport oil products to the largest strategic fields in Mongolia, such as Energy Resource LLC, Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi OJSC, Oyu Tolgoi LLC.

Repair and maintenance center:

A professional repair team, fully equipped with modern equipment and technologies, performs specialized maintenance of heavy vehicles at a high level of quality at the following addresses:

           1. Gobi-Sumbur Repair and Maintenance Center /along the Ulaanbaatar-Zamyn Uud highway/

On a site with a total area of ​​20,000 m2, a 1020 m2 repair box with  a 5 ton overhead crane, a 1550 m2 spare parts warehouse​​, a fully equipped repair and motor workshop and a 12,500 m2 parking lot with a capacity to repair 8 heavy vehicles at once.

          2. Ulaanbaatar Repair and Maintenance Center /Tolgoit, Songino-Khairkhan district/

A repair box capable of repairing 3 heavy vehicles at once, a spare parts warehouse, a specialized workshop, a warehouse for tire fitting parts located near Petrovis Group car depot.
