On October 28, 2020, the founder of Petrovis Groupof Companies, Chairperson of the Board, Doctor of Petroleum Sciences, Honored Trader of Mongolia Zhanchivin Oyungerel passed away due to illness, and we suffered an irreparable loss.
Our director J. Oyungerel was a pioneer and a strong support for our team, she always called us to a better future, and she was a bright woman who led us with innovative thinking and bright aspirations.
After graduating from I.M. Gubkin University, one of the world’s famous petroleum educational institutions, as a petroleum engineer-economist, she devoted more than 40 years of hard work and dedication to the Mongolian business sector, including the Mongolian oil sector, and helped free Mongolia from oil and energy dependence. Today, as a result of her years of commitment, our company "Petrovis", continues to reliably supply high-quality petroleum products to all corners of Mongolia, having 11 warehouses, more than 400 gas stations, and a transport and logistics network.
She founded the Petromatad oil exploration company in 2007, which has been continuously conducting exploration works to the present day. Our director believed that someday Mongolia would produce and refine its own oil, and she has carried out many studies and projects. We
She was highly respected business among Mongolian business community, colleagues and friends, a leader and an excellent leader, as well as an optimistic and generous person, always supporting new ideas and helping young people to realize their dreams. As an investor, she has been actively involved in fostering Mongolian startup ecosystem development, investing in successful startups such as as “And Global”, “Lend.mn”, “Ard Financial Association” and “Tomyo Edtek".
Director J. Oyungerel was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovis Group, President of the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, founder of the Mongolian Leadership Club, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the British School in Ulaanbaatar, Member of the Board of Directors of Energy Resource Company, founder of the Khuree Rotary Club , an investor in the Shark Tank Mongolia program, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ulaanbaatar City Development Corporation, has held many responsible positions with dignity, diligence and dedication to her duties, and for these irrepressible stressful deeds her heart beat until the last moment, which has become our pride from generation to generation.
She was keen to others, was always kind to her friends and motherly took care of the well-being of society and people, was always a support and helper, continued to teach by her example what it means to be a person for people. She also initiated and led the improvement of the National Center for Mother and Child, the establishment of the Together Against Poverty Foundation, and the implementation of the Organic Mongolia project.
The long standing commitments and successes of our director were highly appreciated by the Mongolian government and international organizations, she was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Trade of Mongolia, the title of advanced worker of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the title of advanced manager of the Mongolian Management Association, as well as the title of "Best female director of the company" of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, "Best Woman of the Year", "Best Female Entrepreneur" from "FORBES MONGOLIA AWARDS" and "50 Most Influential Women Business Directors" by Forbes Mongolia Women magazine.
A hardworking, humane and friendly, creative, hardworking character, a modest, warm and bright image of an outstanding leader and the best industrialist - a woman who created irreplaceable values for the economic and social development of Mongolia and gained the respect of her people, will forever remain in our hearts.
